  • Sail across to Whitehaven
  • Snorkel on a fringing reef
  • Walk to the lookout at Hill Inlet and enjoy spectacular views of Whitehaven Beach
Full description

Jump on board a classic 62-ft gaff-rigged schooner and feel the breeze as you sail across to Whitehaven. Help out to pull up the sails or relax in the sunshine on the deck. Enjoy some morning tea with home-baked chocolate brownies.

Sail across the Whitsunday Passage and take a leisurely pace towards Tongue Bay. Look out for turtles swimming through the warm water.

Anchor close to shore and walk up to Hill Inlet. Take in the views of the white sands and turquoise waters of Whitehaven Beach and discover why it’s been voted one of the 10 best beaches in the world.

Head back to the boat for a picnic lunch of wraps and homemade frittata. Set sail again and continue to the snorkeling spot on the fringing reef. Savor a refreshing fruit platter in the afternoon and perhaps buy a cocktail from the onboard bar.

The organization (timing, hotel transfer, catering) was very good. Unfortunately, there was almost no communication with the participants, although three "guides" were on board. The snorkeling was very short and in a place where there was really (almost) nothing to see. In general, the tour is mainly a sailing trip (30 minutes snorkeling, 1.15 hours at Whitehaven Beach, rest on the boat), which is very worth seeing due to the beautiful Whitsundays, but you should be aware of it.

An unforgettable experience! They offer a shuttle service that picks you up and drops you off at your accommodation. The boat was smooth the entire time. The staff were lovely and provided muffins & coffee for breakfast and wraps, quiche, and fruit for lunch. The water was so clear and warm. Thankfully the time of year we went we didn’t need stinger suits. Saw so many fish and coral while snorkeling and the time at whitehaven beach was a dream. The entire day was amazing, I would highly recommend!

Really enjoyed being on a sailing boat for the first time, even got to pull some sails, felt like an explorer! Great snorkeling spot with lovely fish and nice coral and the cherry on top, 3rd time lucky visit to Whitsunday Island (after the first times being rainy and chocolate milk colour) I finally got to see the clear blue water, the long-promised turquoise waters, swirling sands and heavenly white beach. Totally worth it! The crew was nice, friendly and funny.
