Departing from Airlie Beach, cruise through the Whitsundays on a high-speed, luxury vessel. Enjoy morning tea as you pass by deserted islands, secluded bays and beaches en route to the outer Great Barrier Reef. The vessel features spacious lounges, full air-conditioning, huge outside view decks and a duo of bars that will gladly serve you your favourite refreshment, including both alcohol and soft drinks. Arrive at the permanently-moored, spacious and innovative pontoon on the outer Great Barrier Reef. The water quality and diverse marine life is unrivalled. Had a great time. At first worried about the long day, but the day was heaped with fun, laughs, food & of course the snorkeling, submersible & learning about the reef while being over it. A wonderful tour & recommended. Shame about COVID and the rules re food service, but the tour team handled it well.

It's pretty expensive just to get out there. Not saying the operators are profiteering. It must be such an expensive operation. but the fee is just to get there. Once you get there, it's a bit dull. Okay, you can snorkel. You can go on the semi-submersed boat and you see a little bit of what the reef has to offer. But it's not much, really. The BIG experience is in the scuba diving and that costs half-as-much-again as what it costs to get out there. AMAZING experience when you put it all together but realise that it's going to cost.

We had an amazing experience! We started on the cruise out there and it was so beautiful looking at the picturesque mountains and sea along the way, the boat ride was long but once we got to the Reef world pontoon it was worth it! We decided to have lunch first which had an amazing selection of delicious food! (Even morning tea and afternoon tea was delightful too) we then got into the water and did some snorkelling for the rest of the day which was stunning! We were so grateful to see the Great Barrier Reef and we got some fantastic pictures from the underwater photographer, after a full day of snorkelling we headed home happy and feeling lucky we got to experience it all. The staff were so attentive, helpful and kind and very informative about everything
