Amalfi: Cooking Class and Farmhouse Visit With Meal

1. Amalfi: Cooking Class and Farmhouse Visit With Meal

Our experience begins with a warm welcome from our team who will guide you throughout this awesome class, describing what we will do in the following few hours. We will start with a tour of our typical terraced gardens, an ancient local cultivation method that represent a resource of sustainability and environmental conservation on the Amalfi Coast. Here we will stroll by and linger at the lemon grove, the olive grove and the vineyard, where you will be provided with significant information on the importance of these groves in the Mediterranean diet and how our worldwide famous Limoncello, olive oil and wine are produced. We will continue our visit to the vegetable garden, and after wearing gloves and collecting wicker baskets, we will proceed with the picking of the freshest seasonal veggies and fragrant herbs that we will later use for the preparation of the delicacies during the class. Once we have put on our kitchen aprons we will be ready to get down to business and learn the secrets of preparing exquisite traditional dishes, which we will then go on to enjoy all together during a wonderful meal accompanied by local wine, limoncello and real Neapolitan espresso. As a perfect finale to our gastronomic experience, feel free to relax in the relaxation area at the lemon grove, sipping a glass of wine or lulling yourself in our comfortable hammocks enjoying the splendid coastal view.

Amalfi: Furore Walking, Vineyards, and Cellars Tour

2. Amalfi: Furore Walking, Vineyards, and Cellars Tour

After gathering at the meeting point of the Hotel Gentile, begin your authentic path that combines trekking, panoramas, and the authentic flavors of the Amalfi Coast. Walk through the small villages of Agerola and Furore, crossing the green Valle di Praia - which from above offers a unique panorama of Praiano and its financial terraces. Travel along an ancient staircase and admire the vertical cliffs that host the suggestive Caves of Santa Barbara. From there, be catapulted into the rurality of the Furore Vineyards. Much of the route takes you through the vertical vineyards which gave life to one of the best whites in Italy: Fior d'Uva. Visit the area where the grapes are turned into wine, encountering the farmers and winemakers responsible for this process. You also visit the Marisa Cuomo Winery, the show room, and its underground caves - which are home to ancient barrels. Your journey then continues through the upper area of Fiordo di Furore, crossing the river right there where the fjord itself originates. Your day finally ends with nice journey to a small farmhouse, overlooking the fjord and surrounded by nature. It is there that you can cap off your experience with a full lunch, based on typical products and partnered with authentic Furore wine.

Naples: Pompeii, Mount Vesuvius, and Herculaneum Trip

4. Naples: Pompeii, Mount Vesuvius, and Herculaneum Trip

Explore Pompeii, with stops at Herculaneum and Mount Vesuvius. Choose whether or not you want a guide or you'd like to tour on your own. Enjoy convenient transportation to and from Naples. This trip includes local professional English-speaking private drivers. The ride on the crater of Vesuvius offers a spectacular panorama of the Bay of Naples with its islands. Vesuvius is an active volcano in continental Europe as well as one of the most studied and dangerous in the world due to its high population and its explosive characteristics, the highest peak is 1,281 meters. You can reach the crater with a 20/25 minute climbing walk. The crater entrance is included with an internal volcano guide, which is a 2-hour stop. Pompeii and Herculaneum are vast archaeological sites. Once a flourishing and sophisticated Roman city, Pompeii and Herculaneum were buried under meters of ash and pumice by the catastrophic eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. The site is constantly evolving thanks to the continuous excavations that offer new discoveries every year. A professional private guide inside is highly recommended to enhance your visit and get the most out of your trip. The guide is on request and will help you to skip the long lines at the ticket office as well, although this is not included in the tour price. On request, it is also possible to have a 1-hour lunch break in a family house to taste a set menu (all-inclusive) with traditional local food, drinks, wine, and desserts.

based on 4 reviews

They’ve just gotten up and running so don’t let the small amount of reviews scare you away because it was AMAZING. From the moment we arrived we were treated like family. It’s a lot more than just a “cooking class”; in reality it’s a short 4-hour sample of what it would be like to live as an Amalfi citizen. We were given a lesson on how they cultivated their terraced garden & orchard, what they grow and how they grow it, then we helped harvest some vegetables to cook. We made a diverse assortment of dishes and the portions were so large that we couldn’t finish them. The team of 4 is phenomenal. You really feel their authenticity. They don’t care about money, they’ve all chose to pursue this life as a pursuit of happiness instead of riches and it’s evident immediately. I would come back again and again and again. I would recommend this experience to anyone that eats food!

Fabulous day visiting 2 of Irpinia’s family wineries in the beautiful Avellino area of Campania. Our host/sommelier Guatano was an absolute delight to spend the day with - his knowledge of the area and it’s history, geography, food and wine was mind blowing. We very much enjoyed the conversation with him and had lots of laughs as he was very enthusiastic and entertaining! We enjoyed warm and generous hospitality at both our stops and learned a lot about producing wine in this iconic region (we have a small vineyard in Australia). We would recommend this tour very highly and it is excellent value for money. Grazie!

I spent an unforgettable day with Silvio and his team! They explained to me with kindness and passion for their land the history of the place, their real culinary tradition and showed to me how to grow a perfect garden with genuine products and how to cook them preparing simple and delicious dishes! I reccomend everyone to enjoy this funny and learing experience!

Don't miss out !!!! We highly recommend taking this non-traditional cooking class, enjoying Silvio's impressive knowledge, tasting the fresh organic products Silvio raised in the garden, the beautiful view, the incredible food, and exceptional team (especially Rosa, the experience's chef). Come hungry...

Fantastic experience with a very experienced and sympathetic guide.

Gaetano, the driver, took us to places wevnever would have found ourselves, and presented us with his home county's treasures of Food and wine. We had the greatest time in Italy this day. Everyone who loves Italy and wine should copy this outing!
