Full description
The Royal Flower Auction starts early in the morning, but it's worth getting out of bed for. Experience the hustle and bustle of the flower processing floor of the world's largest flower hall. See traders bidding against the auction clock. Enjoy a private or small group tour by a professional guide, and discover inside information about the flower industry in a unique gallery. After the tour, enjoy some free time to take pictures or make some purchases at the souvenir shop before making the 30-45 minute transfer to Muiden, the quaint town where the castle is located. Take a stroll along the Vecht River and visit an authentic Dutch 'old brown' cafe to enjoy a complimentary cup of coffee, tea, or hot cocoa. Then it's time to visit the Amsterdam Muiderslot Castle. This real medieval castle is one of the oldest and best-preserved medieval castles in the Netherlands and comes with a moat, towers, battlements, arrow slits, and a drawbridge. Explore the over 700-year-old castle surrounded by water and beautiful historical gardens. Discover its secrets with included admission and a guided tour. After the tour, you have some personal time to explore the historic gardens, where vegetables from earlier times and herbs are grown. Then meet with your guide again for the transfer back.
