Val led us on an excellent walking tour through the Garden District after briefly stopping at the Lafayette Cemetery no. 1 and giving us many interesting facts. It is a bonus that he also happens to live in the district and has actually toured many of the homes we walked by. It was a lovely way to spend a few hours as we learned about the history of the area as well as the city.

This tour around the beautiful Garden District was a delight to the eyes and educational. The pace was manageable and allowed plenty of opportunity to ask questions and take photos. The streets and pavements are often very uneven so care needs to be taken especially if you have any disability. The guide added lots of local history and anecdotes which made the tour memorable.

We were unable to hear our guide at the beginning of the tour due to construction and maintenance workers at a nearby restaurant. Tour guides should have microphones. Also, the tour information intimates that we will be going INTO a cemetery which is not the case, so it's a little deceiving.

Guide very knowledgeable about New Orleans history and shared how it is to live in that area. The cemetery being closed was a little disappointing but our guide took time to discuss history and show us what he could through the fence.

The Garden District Tour was great. It was very shaded so even though it was very hot the heat was not an issue. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and so easy to talk to. This was one of my favorite tours. Highly recommend it!
