Explore the 15th-century cellars of the Maison Champy and its history in the heart of Beaune on a guided walking tour. Head to this prestigious climat, a vineyard site combining vine plots, grape variety, and winemaking know-how. Taste 5 Village and Premier Cru wines. Start your tour at Maison Champy, the oldest wine company in Burgundy boasting a history dating back to 1720. Discover the story of this prestigious wine house and walk inside its cellars. To cap off the tour, have a tasting of 5 wines.

You’ll be picked up at 9:30 AM at the Beaune tourist office and travel in an air conditioned minivan (maximum of 8 passengers) on this full-day wine tour. The tour begins with a winery visit near Beaune, where you’ll find a wide range of different wines, including Village, Premier cru and Grand cru. You'll be introduced to different appellations such as Saint-Aubin, Meursault, Les Charmes and Corton-Charlemagne. After the winery visit, your guide will recommend a local restaurant for lunch with local food (on your own expenses). After lunch, you'll head out along the scenic Route des Grands Crus and stop at the famous Romanée-Conti, which produces the most expensive wine in the world. You'll also have a stop at Chateau of Clos de Vougeot. Founded in 1098 by monks, the vineyard of Clos de Vougeot covers 50 hectares. The castle houses the brotherhood of the Knights of the Tastevin. Its wines are some of the most famous in Burgundy, including Le Clos Vougeot Grand Cru. At Nuits Saint Georges you'll have the opportunity to visit a wine cellar and share some time with the winemaker around a tasting of his best Pinot Noir wines. To finish, enjoy a wine tasting at a local wine shop in the charming viallge of Chambolle-Misigny. At the end of the tour you’ll be transferred back to Beaune and dropped off at the tourist office at 5.45PM.

Travel to the Maison Veuve Ambal, a family-owned winery located in Montagny-lès-Beaune , on a 1.5-hour winery tour and tasting. The maison was established in the heart of Burgundy more than a century ago and has been making quality wines since 1898. Upon arrival you will be taken on a guided walk through the aging cellars and workshops. See the robots and automatons that make the sparkling wine and learn more about the process. Then continue to the Veuve Ambal shop, where you will have a guided tasting of 3 Crémant de Bourgogne drinks. Afterward, spend time browsing the shop and discussing your new wine knowledge. Enjoy a full-day cycling tour into the vineyards of Côte de Beaune. Stop for a delicious lunch at a restaurant in a stunning setting. Delight your senses with a winetasting experience and uncover the secrets of the winemaking process. Meet your guide and get set up with your bike and helmet. Listen to a short briefing about how to use the bicycles, before embarking on your adventure through the heart of the Burgundy wine region. Peddle through the hills of the Côte de Beaune passing vineyards, villages, and fields. Cruise by a charming 13th century medieval castle which was home to a Count and Countess of Burgundy. Take in the sights, smells, and sounds before sitting down to a full lunch at a small restaurant nestled amongst the Beaune hills. After lunch you ride downhill to the Grand Cru of Puligny-Montrachet. Savor local flavors with a wine tasting session at the vineyard and learn about the different vines in Burgundy. Here you will understand more about the plant, the soil, and why Burgundy wine is one of the best. Visit the winery estate and stone cellar and get the chance to buy some bottles directly from the seller. Enjoy the convenience of having the bottles that you buy delivered directly to your hotel or home. Return to the meeting point in Beaune through an easy, downhill route.

Unless you have a deep knowledge of Burgundy wines, you’ve probably never heard of the small town of Beaune. On this walking tour, I’ll show you the different facets of the town, past and present, and show you exactly why it’s worth exploring. I’ll take you on a tour of some of the town’s wine merchants, tasting rooms, and cellars while I tell you about the wine board, wine school, wine museum, prestigious wine estates, as well as its famous November charity wine auction at the Hospices de Beaune. This might be the wine capital of Burgundy, but our tour isn’t only about wine, and as you make your way from Porte Saint-Nicolas ( Saint Nicolas Gate) and around the town’s centre, you’ll see plenty of the town’s art, history and charm. Along the way you’ll hear how, in the Middle Ages, Beaune was the seat of the parliament of the powerful Duchy of Burgundy. You’ll see Beaune’s Basilica of Notre Dame (Basilica of Our Lady) which was part of an old pilgrims’ route to the Holy Land. And I’ll point out Hôtel Dieu, once a luxurious charity hospital and now a museum within the Hospice de la Charité de Beaune, organisers of the charity wine auction. The museum is also home to a famous altarpiece by the renowned Flemish painter Rogier Van der Weyden. On this stroll through town, you’ll have the opportunity to: • View the unique exterior of Hôtel Dieu Museum Hospices de Beaune, with its flamboyant architecture and multi-coloured roofs • Hear about the Late Romanesque Basilica of Notre Dame, where none of the original statues survived the French Revolution • Take in the remarkable Medieval belfry, the Beffroi de Beaune • Stroll along some of the remaining fortification walls • Find out about the former residence of two dynasties of dukes, Hôtel des Ducs de Bourgogne, now a wine museum • Learn about some of our most famous cheeses • Promenade along the town’s squares including Place Carnot and Place Monge • See Beaune’s Hôtel de Ville (city hall) which once belonged to an Ursuline convent • Learn about the town’s indoor market, Les Halles de Beaune, and its long history going back to 1203 Join me on a 60-minute stroll through this Medieval town’s modern streets, which stimulate all the senses. By the end I’m sure you’ll want to come back again and again.

Pass through remote villages and hamlets including Blagny, Gamay, and Saint-Aubin. Ride on a stylish motorbike with a sidecar, a perfect tour for couples. Begin your tour in Meursault, the capital of Burgundy's white wines and famous for the town hall with its glazed tiles. Drive-up Saint Christophe hill and view the fantastic panorama over Meursault and the coast. Make regular stops to take picturesque photos of the region. Drive around the beautiful Chassagne-Montrachet and Puligny-Montrachet. Be as close as possible to the vineyards where your guide will explain the history of the area.

Our tour takes you into the vineyard of the Côte de Beaune. After a short briefing about how to use the bicycle and adjust your helmet, we’ll ride along an easy sealed cycling road in the heart of Pommard, Volnay and Meursault vineyards. Your local guide will be here to take care of your needs and questions. On your way, you will have a wine tasting in the vineyard which is a good opportunity to explain the differents types of wines in Burgundy. You’ll understand and learn about the grappe varieties to associate a taste, about the soil and why Burgundy wines are so unique and exceptionnal ! A local producer will invite you to his winery for a visit. You will taste 4 wines of the domain. If you desire you will be able to buy some bottles. If this is the case, you can take them directly with you or haven them delivered to where you want! Then we’ll go back to Beaune by an easy downhill road. Be careful, don’t overtake the guide ! We assure unforgettables memories and great pictures during this unusual tour !

During 1h30 come an learn how to taste 6 Burgundian wines (3 reds and 3 whites), of Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits. Can you taste different kind of wines the same way ? Using method, learn to evaluate the color of the wine and what kind of informations can you guess from it. Discovert how aromas are able to express themselves through wine. Do these aromas come from the grape variety, the aging, the material used ? Does the making process has an impact onto the taste of the wine ? After the session, you will be able to answer these question and understand several impacts from the making process onto the wine.

Beyond the discovery of the climates, go to meet the soul of the terroir of the great emblematic wines of the Côte de Beaune and discover the keys. Follow the guide along a route designed exclusively for you. The excursion includes a private tasting in situ in the vineyards of a white or red wine according to your preferences from a great Burgundy wine house.The appointment is fixed 5 / 10 minutes before departure to be able to equip the helmet (mobcap available on request), motorcycle goggles and know the latest instructions on the tour. The start is fixed at Meursault, capital of the great white wines of Burgundy,Always surrounded by the best vintages of the south coast of Beaune, the route will take small roads with little traffic to reveal the most secret corners of the region. The tour is designed to offer you the very first keys to understanding the Burgundy terroir.This experience is to live as a private ride, the sidecar carrying only two passengers. It is an ideal concept for couples. However, the circuit remains adaptable according to your wishes. Don't hesitate to talk about it.
