You will be hosted in a tiny, cozy apartment in Bologna. The kitchen is small but this tiny environment will make your class even more authentic. Learn to cook like a Bolognese in a typical Bologna home. Get hands-on help preparing your own lunch or dinner from a friendly chef during this activity. This experience consists of preparing some specialties of Bologna culinary tradition. Begin by preparing the dough for your pasta. Learn how to make tagliatelle and tortelloni then fill them with ricotta cheese, Parmigiano Reggiano, garlic, parsley, nutmeg, white pepper, and salt. Then make some delicious ragu for your pasta. After, enjoy your pasta with some delicious wine and a local dessert.

In the beginning we had to get used to looking at a 'stranger' in the kitchen, but once we got used to it, we thought it was fantastic! What a fun experience. Antonio is a great and humorous man with a lot of experience and knowledge. He also has his own restaurant around the corner. A great experience to complete your trip to Bologna!!

Antonio, a typical Italian man and also a good chef with his own restaurant, will teach you the intricacies of pasta making. He talks passionately about his work and teaches you some handy “Italian” tricks to cook better. His english is good and you can have good conversations with him. In addition, this chef has humor and is very enthusiastic!

Lidia was excited to host us and we were excited to learn. We were two adults and two children under 10 years old. It can be a bit odd to be in a strangers home but she made us feel welcome. We look forward to making our own pasta at home.
