  • Budapest: 1-Hour Sightseeing Cruise with Welcome Drink

    1. Budapest: 1-Hour Sightseeing Cruise with Welcome Drink

Climb aboard a pleasure boat at the pier of Budapest's Szent István Park and get a welcome beverage of a seasonal cocktail (mulled wine during winter) or soft drink. Then, cruise down the River Danube, and pass monuments such as the National Parliament, Buda Castle and the Várkert Bazár, recently restored to its original splendor. Head to the open deck for perfect views of the illuminated Vigadó Concert Hall, or look at the floodlit monuments between the Margaret Bridge and Rákóczi Bridge from the comfort of an air-conditioned deck with panoramic windows. Experience the city more like a local - although there are no audio or live guides on board the boat, it functions as a floating coffee house or pub experience with its own bar

Little cruise in the beautiful views, great value for the money. Inside the boat is a really classy bar with its big windows, but the drinks are actually cheap.

  • Budapest: Széchenyi Spa Full Day Entrance

    2. Budapest: Széchenyi Spa Full Day Entrance

Book your full-day skip-the-line ticket to the Széchenyi Bath in advance and avoid the long wait in the queue at the entrance. You’ll enjoy fast and easy entrance at a separate Welcome Desk. The Széchenyi Bath is the largest thermal spring bath complex not only in Budapest, but in Europe as well. It was built in 1913 in a Neo-baroque style. At the time it opened its baths were private, having separate steam baths for men and women, as well as different public baths for men and women. In 1927, the spa complex was expanded and today it comprises 3 outdoor and 15 indoor pools. After its expansion, the thermal artesian wasn’t adequate to supply the spa, so a new well was drilled. The second thermal spring dates from 1938. Towels and swimsuits are available for rent or purchase. Please note that swimsuits which cover the entire body are not permitted.

The place was so huge with plenty of options to go and experience. I really enjoyed myself.

Planning Your Visit

  • When to go?

Budapest attracts a lot of visitors at the height of summer. However, with its sights spread all over the place, the city absorbs large influxes of tourists better than most. Still, the best time to visit is probably early or late summer when the weather's not too hot to enjoy the thermal baths!

  • How many days?

Even just seeing the sights could fill a long weekend in the city quite effortlessly. If you want to experience Budapest's best baths, museums, and nightlife then start thinking about at least a week!

  • How to get around?

Budapest is served by an extensive public transportation network. The Millennium Underground is the second oldest underground railway in the world (after London's Metropolitan Line)! Tickets must be bought before boarding, and are available at metro stops and newsstands. But be warned: a standard single ticket doesn't allow you to change between lines, so ask about special tickets if your journey requires them.
