Discover the puffins of Iceland on a wildlife watching tour by RIB Boat, These boats cover a larger area and get closer to the puffins than on a conventional vessel. Make your own way to Reykjavik Old Harbour in the early morning and meet the captain of your RIB. Listen to a short safety briefing, put on your provided coveralls, climb aboard, and take hold of the grab rail as your boat sets off. Take in the views of Faxaflói Bay as your RIB zips out over the ice-cold waters. As you cruise, watch for Iceland’s wildlife, including the many species of sea birds that frequent the bay and its islands in summer. As well as puffins, gannets, auks, fulmars, and Arctic terns all visit the local waters. Bump over the waves toward the rocky islands and sea cliffs, and sail up close to the rocks and inlets to view the puffins that nest here between May and August. As you watch the puffins, listen to interesting facts about the species from the expert guide and captain. What people are saying about Capital Region of Iceland

Our original trip was cancelled due to wind but Sea Trips made it easy to reschedule. We did the 9:30 am tour and it was great! They provided gloves, goggles and a full suit. You can bring a small bag with you but I recommend it attaches to your body because you go fast. The suits do have pockets though. We saw a humpback very close to the boat, a few Minke whales and a porpoise. We went on a really sunny and calm day, but I can see this really hurting your legs or back on a windy/wavy day. Overall had a great time though and would recommend.

The small boat allows you to get much closer to the whales (we saw one at a distance of one meter) and to have more time to see them being faster than the others (you can move from one sighting place to another much more quickly). The guide and the captain were really nice and prepared! Recommended!

We got lucky with a perfect morning in Reykjavik and this tour did not disappoint! Our guide and boat captain were excellent in giving us information on what we were seeing and spending a little extra time on the lookout for whales to observe. Wonderful experience!

We had a great trip on a beautiful day and saw some dolphins and three humpback whales. The guide and the boat driver were very nice. You get a warm suit, gloves and goggles for the trip.

Because of the high swell, a trip boat was booked. Was absolutely fine.
