Full description

Guests will meet at the starting location where the host or hostess will lead participants to the correct table. After brief introduction, groups will have the opportunity to purchase a variety of recommended beverages, as they taste a variety of appetizers served at each of the three to four locations visited. Your licensed tour guide, Capt. Bryan is a 7th generation Charlestonian of Huguenot Heritage and tell you the history of beautiful and historic Shem Creek as the group walks to the various stops. The tour will end at an establishment with a wonderful view of Shem Creek, typically as the sun is setting over the Charleston Harbor. Ride-share services are recommended to make sure you can take full advantage of all the delicious drinks and get home safely.

I took this tour with my sister and college age nieces and all of us really enjoyed it. We were paired up with a couple other people (it was nice to get to know them too). We were glad it was a small group where we felt comfortable asking questions. We also really liked how casual it was, the time of day (before the bars/restaurants got too busy) and the close proximity between the three restaurants we went to. It was fun to try some different appetizers that we maybe wouldn't have otherwise tried (the food was really good). We loved the area by the water. Our guide was very knowledgeable of the history of the area and made it fun! We definitely would recommend this tour!

Bryan was so relaxed during the tour to make us very comfortable throughout. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and was able to give us so many good recommendations for other places to go that we wouldn’t have known about without going on this tour. We very much enjoyed our tour and the things we learned about the Shem Creek area!!
