Christchurch Gondola: Tours & Tickets
What people are saying about Christchurch Gondola
Awesome to see beautiful Christchurch under us as we went up to the Redrock cafe with normal prices to eat or drink, I might add the shop for souvenirs was so well priced I bought a few things to bring home....and I use a walker which I took with me to walk around without it being folded away and the beautiful staff stopped the Gondola for me to get on and off without rushing me in anyway, so if you are slow moving, a walker or have a stick go there as they look after everybody so well. Don’t miss out. Go and you will love it...my thanks to all the staff there loved it so much Ella Sweeney OAM
I enjoyed all three but my favorite experience was Punting on the Avon - we had a lovely person - called Chris I think - he chatted to us all the way there and back about the Avon and telling us details about the ducks and the surroundings that were all around us - excellent ! We went on 14th Aug - 1pm I think I went with my grown-up daughter - in her thirties but this selection is not available in 'Who did you go with..... :( - so I chose 'by myself'
Tram ride is a good informative way to find out about the central city. A shame to be told you need to pay an extra $10 each to get to the gondola ride and back. We had metro cards so caught the local bus instead which was much cheaper. All in all a great day out.
Friendly ticketing staff member. Very hot in the gondola. Casual manner by staff in the cafeteria. Signage only in English! Should have all signage that is bilingual for a start and key signs in Mandarin, Japanese, Korean and German.
The tram tour was amazing. Neither of us had been to Christchurch before so had no idea how awesome it is. The gondola was the best ride of all though. The views are amazing and eell worth the bus ride there.
