Full description
Experience the highest cliffs in Europe on a full-day tour from Limerick, departing the historic city for the Burren and Cliffs of Moher. Stop en route to view King John’s Castle and the River Shannon. Continue via County Clare to the west coast of Ireland. Upon arrival at the Cliffs of Moher you will have 1.5 hours to explore one of the world’s greatest natural attractions. Enjoy a hike or relaxed walk, gazing in amazement at the geological beauty. You will also receive a complimentary ticket to the award-winning Atlantic Edge exhibition, examining all aspects of the mighty cliffs. Depart the Cliffs of Moher for Doolin village, where a pint and lunch in a traditional Irish pub can be enjoyed for those that want it. Along the way, enjoy superb views of the Atlantic Coast and Aran Islands. Next, visit one of the most unusual limestone landscapes on a tour of the lunar-like Burren. This is the only place on earth where Arctic, Alpine and Mediterranean flowers flourish side-by-side. If it's the right season, you can see one of 26 different types of orchids that grow on beautiful Galway Bay. After a scenic drive along Galway Bay, stop at Bunratty Castle for the chance to grab a coffee. Imagine the days when Norman knights, Gaelic warriors, and jousting chieftains hung out at the hallowed spot. Depart Bunratty Castle for the short drive back to Limerick and Adare, with an estimated drop off at approximately 17:00.

Best way to see the Cliffs is to book from Limerick or Galway. It's a short drive. Viewed the spectacular cliffs, visited the visitor centre, and baby cliffs. Plenty of time to walk the area and visit the a most interesting exhibit . Saw the Burren, stopped in Doolin for lunch. Plenty of time. One last short stop at Bunratty Castle for shopping. Did not see stop at Lemenagh Castle as described online. Disappointment!

A very nice trip! I am happy that I have done it!

Our driver John was very nice and funny and made the 1,5 hr long ride to the cliffs very entertaining. I think 1, 5 hrs at the cliffs is enough time. I think the journey could go to a different pub for lunch (I didn't eat but it looked canteen-like) and also the description should be changed because we were back earlier than 5 pm. (I know that the driver is in no position to chanhe that. Thanks, John, you were great. :D)

Very short but splendid

The excursion started with the unmissable Cliffs of Moher. In complete freedom we were able to take advantage of a 1.5 hour / 2 hour walk (the time to discover a large part of the place is too short because we did not take advantage of the whole). After that we went to eat in Doolin, the bus parked in a landscaped area near all kinds of restaurants, etc. We had a picnic without problems in a very nice little corner (but I wonder how we would have done if it had had rain however) .. Then we made a 45min 30min stop around the Burren desert plateau (very short because the place is splendid and deserves a longer getaway). To finish, we stopped near Limerick, in a castle (time press, only 30 minutes, we preferred to drink a coffee). 3nfinally we returned around 4 p.m. The driver was very friendly and I don't regret having paid for this excursion even though it was very short.
