Immerse yourself in the history of Scotland on this day tour that takes you to all of the most important sites in Scotland. Visit the Highlands, Cairngorms National Park, Loch Ness and more.

Your day begins on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh, where a coach will pick you up for your day of adventure. As you head towards the Highlands, you will see the amazing Forth Bridges. Then try some delicious home baking in the beautiful Highland town of Pitlochry. From there, continue on through the Cairngorms National Park, where you will enjoy stunning scenery amidst the unique wilderness of the National Park. Take a break at Loch Ness, which is famous all over the world for its beauty and mystery. From here, you will have the chance to take a 'monster spotting' cruise and visit Urquhart Castle (optional extra ticket) and look for the famous monster for yourself. Next, visit Glen Coe, a broodingly beautiful spot that is steeped in history. As you stand at the mouth of the glen, you'll feel the past come to life as your guide tells you about the terrible massacre of the Clan. On your way home, you pass by the beautiful city of Stirling, where you can see its stunning castle and learn more about the exploits of William Wallace that were dramatized in the film Braveheart.

Murray the driver was amazing the whole way through the trip. Telling us about all the things we passed as Joking as we went as well. The views are amazing. only thing we would have changed was the waiting around at Loch Ness as we didn't want to do the castle or boat trip and all there is is a shop and cafe. so entertaining yourself for an hour and a half was a bit tricky, but that's not Murrays fault. He was great. it was a lovely day out and worth the money

At first I thought 12 hours would be a long trip to take, and going in winter with less sunlight would make it less enjoyable. But the time was well worth it and the winter experience added to the excitement as there was changes from place to place along the way, from rain to snow, overcast to clear blue skys. Our tour guild was very good and with a wonderful way of sharing history and local knowledge. Highly recommended and will treasure my trip.

Driver excellent, good talker, kind, funny. There is a tourist trap though, at Loch Ness, you either get stuck in a very expensive place to eat and buy souvenirs or pay to go to Urquhart Castle and if you want to go to the Castle you must also pay for the Boat to bring you to the meeting place, it is an extra 26 pounds in total, if you're in a family of 4, as I was, it is 104 unexpected pounds to add to the budget. But other than that, it was amazing and I'm glad I did it, great memories were made and it was worth the money.
