Full description

Take in some of the most dramatic and stunning landscapes Scotland has to offer on an eco-certified tour from Inverness. Discover the Isle of Skye, including its capital Portree, Kilt Rock, Lealt Falls, and the Old Man of Storr. See Loch Ness from Invermoriston, Loch Carron, and Eilean Donan Castle.

Meet your guide at Inverness Bus Station, where your group will board an air-conditioned coach. Head south out of the city. Then, follow the shores of Loch Ness to Invermoriston, where you will stop for a short break. Grab a coffee, take scenic photos, and try and spot Nessie, the Loch Ness Monster.

Then, continue to Eilean Donan Castle, one of Scotland's most photographed castles, set on its own island at the head of Loch Duich. You will have time to visit the castle and learn about its history if you like (admission fees apply) or just admire the picturesque castle and its scenic surroundings.

Next, journey to the Isle of Skye. Stop at Portree, a small colorful town fringed by cliffs and rolling hills. Take in these beautiful surroundings while enjoying lunch and the views of the boats in the harbor. Once your appetite has been sated, move on to tour the rest of the island.

Head to the Old Man of Storr, an iconic rock formation, before visiting Kilt Rock, a sea-weathered cliff with amazing coastal views. Next, take a walk at Lealt Falls to admire the beautiful waterfall and gorge. Finally, head back to Inverness via the panoramic Strome Viewpoint over Loch Carron.

We had a fantastic time on our tour. Our guide, Ryan, fed us lots of interesting information, and was a Gaelic speaker, so was able to give us lots of information about the Gaelic forms of the place names and how Gaelic pronunciation and lenition works (interesting to me as I've recently started learning Gaelic myself). The weather was amazing, and we even managed to fit in an extra viewpoint! Tapadh leat gu mòr!

I believe we had the best of the Highlands in just one day. Although the trip lasted 12 hours I did not feel tired or bored.Marita, who had the double role of the driver and the guide was amazing. She provided us with a lot of information regarding the places, the local legends and historical data in the most engaging way, that is, with a lot of humour. She also gave us very useful information on what and where to eat or have coffee. I definitely recommend the tour !!!

My friend and I wanted to go to the Isle of Skye while we were in Scotland but were not able to fit it in our schedule. I found this tour online and thought it would be a good alternative. We had an AMAZING time! Our tour guide Ryan was hilarious and full of information about what we were seeing along the drive and the various places we stopped. When we stopped for lunch in Portree he gave a lot of different recommendations on where to eat and what cafes he liked. On the ride back to Inverness he played songs we all knew and had one big sing-a-long. Out of the 10 days we were in Scotland, the day we did this tour was my favorite! 10/10 recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see Skye and have a fun time!
