3. Maui: Hana Tropical Rainforest Luxury Guided Tour
Discover the lush tropical beauty of Hana on a guided tour by luxury transportation. Learn about the history, the stories, and tales of this tropical rainforest that was once traveled by the island's ancestors. See roadside waterfalls, swim at the black sand beach, and jump off a waterfall into a freshwater pool.
Begin with a pick-up from your hotel in the air condition comfort of a luxurious Cadillac Escalade or Custom Platinum Minibus. Arrive in Kahului, you'll make your way up the mountain, stopping at an open-air park to savor a light breakfast of mango bread and Maui Gold pineapple skewers.
Weather permitting, start with a trip through Upcountry Maui, cruising through the southern base of Mount Haleakala as you get views of South Maui, Molokini, and Kahoolawe. Admire the rocky coastline of Maui’s last volcanic lava flow and hear the history of areas as far as your eyes can see.
Take pictures at the base of a 75-foot waterfall, just before lunch. Stop at Kailani Flower Farm and Gift Shop where you'll have a chance to try the island flavors of a local-style prepared lunch.
Visit the famous black sand beach located at Waianapanapa State Park. This will be your first opportunity to refresh yourself with a swim in the cool Pacific Ocean, weather permitting.
Travel through the deep foliage, valleys and beauty endearingly called the "Heavenly Road to Hana.” Bamboo forests, lush ferns, and various types of plants line the valley walls as you make your way to each of the 50+ one-lane bridges with flowing waterfalls, streams, and freshwater ponds.
Your guide will point things out along the way so you can take pictures, breathe in the fresh air and maybe even swim under a waterfall as long as the weather permits.
Hear stories and facts about the Road to Hana which was named a Millennium Legacy Trail by President Clinton in the year 2000 and registered on the list of National Historic Places in 2001.
