We were met on time by Stan our guide. Due to the absence of other people, we got our tour in Dutch instead of in English. This was already a stroke of luck. The sun was out and we crossed a large part of Amsterdam. Stan spoke very passionately about the past and dared to question some things. This makes you as a visitor think even more about things as they happened. In addition to the buildings, memorial stones and monuments, we were presented with many photos along the way, which again gave a perfect view of the situation at the time of the war. After a little more than 2 hours we were a lot richer in history. Very well worth it! We had already done the Anne Frank house another time, but this seems ideal to me to do the walk first and then visit the house. That way you already have the right background. (buy the tickets well in advance)

Very informative and exciting. All questions were answered and the time was taken to answer all of them. One learns a lot about Amsterdam in the period 1940-1945 (mainly about the time of the occupation and the life of the Jews at that time). Anyone interested in history should definitely join this tour.

Stan was the best! We can defintely recommend this tour.. The stories about about Anne Frank's family were really interesting. Our guide Stan made everything interesting and understandable. He did a great job! You MUST do this tour when you visit Amsterdam!
