You'll feel like you've stepped back in time as you stroll amongst the medieval architecture in the Main Market Square, the largest square in Europe. Your professional guide will take you to the top sights of Krakow and inform you of its dramatic history. They will also provide you with insider knowledge of what to visit, see and eat while you're in this beautiful city. Krakow: Old Town and Old Jewish Quarter Walking Tour

2. Krakow: Old Town and Old Jewish Quarter Walking Tour

Embark on a walking tour of some of Krakow's most famous neighborhoods: the Old Town and Kazimierz — the Old Jewish Quarter. You have the option between a 45-minute walk and a 1.5-hour one, so as to better suit your needs. On the shorter walk you only visit the Old Town, whereas the longer walk also takes you to Kazimierz. After meeting your guide in town, receive your headphones and multilingual audioguide so you can choose your preferred language for the tour. Then, head off on your walking adventure of Krakow. Make your way to the Old Town first. Walk past medieval buildings dating back to the 10th and 11th centuries that still stand intact to this day. See the influence of each historical period on the city, including its churches, squares, and tenements, some of which are considered to be historic sites of outstanding universal value. Admire famous buildings like St. Mary's Basilica, the Cloth Hall, the Wawel Royal Castle, the Town Hall Tower, the Juliusz Słowacki Theatre, and many more. In 1978, Krakow's historic center was added to the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites as one of the most precious sites in the world. It's easy to see why when visiting the city. If you've booked the 1.5-hour tour, make your way to the Old Jewish Quarter, also known as Kazimierz. This now-fashionable and popular neighborhood was once a separate town, founded by Casimir III the Great in 1355. See synagogues, squares, and cemeteries that created a strong Jewish culture in Kazimierz, making it the capital of the Jewish minority in Poland. Fortunately, the main historic sites and artefacts in the area survived WWII. Walking through the charming streets of this part of town will enchant you.
