  • Lahaina: 1.5-Hour Cacao Farm Tour with Chocolate Tasting

    8. Lahaina: 1.5-Hour Cacao Farm Tour with Chocolate Tasting

Visit Hawaii's largest chocolate factory and delight in a 9-piece tasting of award-winning chocolate. Enjoy stunning views and learn about cocoa production as you tour a private cocoa estate. Your guide will take you to a private cacao estate, nestled in the foothills of the West Maui mountains. Featuring over 20 acres of cacao, arrive at the estate where you'll learn how cocoa comes from the farm and becomes a chocolate bar. During your interactive and educational tour, you'll be introduced to cacao trees and hands-on fruit harvesting techniques. This tour then concludes with an exclusive 9-piece tasting of award-winning chocolate.

The guide was very knowledgeable about cacao. I am very impressed with the fact that they use this man, named Dan, who not only wants to develop the cacao in Hawaii but also throughout the world. Also how they are enriching the soil in Maui that was depleted in nutrients from the growing of sugarcane.

  • West Maui: Snorkel & Performance Sail with Lunch

    9. West Maui: Snorkel & Performance Sail with Lunch

Nobody knows the waters of Maui better than this local crew. Let them be your hosts as you explore and snorkel the incredible West Maui coast on Paragon. What’s your destination? Some local favorites are Olowalu, Honolua, and Mokuleia Bay, but the Captain will decide where the absolute best conditions are for the day. Depart Lahaina and head for the snorkel spot, usually about an hour away by boat. Spend some time snorkeling, viewing some of Maui’s most amazing underwater sea life.  Breakfast and lunch are provided, as well as all refreshments including local beer, wine, and Mai Tais. Tradewinds usually pick up in the afternoon, just in time for an exhilarating sail back to the harbor.

We sailed with Captain Justin and mates Matt and Harper. They were exceptional hosts on the Paragon. We traveled through a large group of spinner dolphins on our way out to the cove where we went snorkeling. The water was so clear you could easily see the bottom even in the deepest places. The number of fish and the variety was amazing! We ha a couple of nervous swimmers and the staff reassured us every step of the way. The sail back to the harbor was smooth and very fast! We would absolutely sail with Justin again!

On the beach, have a brief 15-minute 'land lesson' to go over safety measures and procedures. When your group is ready, head into the water to get started. Each surfer has their own turn to ride a wave and learn to surf. After your wave is complete, you will head back to the designated waiting area until the instructor signals for...

We had a great time learning to surf from J.B. He was an excellent instructor who I would highly recommend! We had five people in our group lesson and we were all able to ride five waves each in the two hour time period after a quick tutorial on the beach. Make sure to ask for J.B. He is a very experienced surfer who was able to help all of us beginner surfers ride some waves.
