Your eco-friendly wildlife adventure departs out of historic Lahaina Harbor aboard a 65 foot, double-deck powered catamaran. The journey over to Lanai takes approximately 60 minutes as the captain passes by known wild dolphin habitats before heading to your snorkel destination. Discover an underwater oasis and world-class snorkeling with warm crystal clear waters and vibrant reefs teeming with marine wildlife. Lanai is also famous for its large populations of wild dolphins, plus toothed whales, sea turtles, and the occasional Hawaiian monk seal. On the trip over, be treated to a continental breakfast of fresh island fruit, bagels and cream cheese, and apple danishes along with hot coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and juices. Departing from historic Lahaina Harbor, your adventure begins aboard Ocean Spirit, a 65-foot luxury sailing catamaran. Relax and enjoy the sights and the sun while eating a continental breakfast of coffee, pastries, and fruit platters as we cruise up the beautiful Ka'anapali coastline to the breathtaking beauty of Honolua Bay.  Honolua Bay is protected as a marine conservation area and is one of Maui’s most scenic snorkel spots. After a safety briefing, snorkeling instruction, and fish identification session, you'll be able to enjoy the marine environment. Premium snorkel gear, including optical masks for glasses wearers, is provided, as well as flotation devices. Children can participate in the Jr. Naturalist program, and you'll get a glossy marine wildlife photo card to take home. Learn the basics of diving under the supervision of a PADI professional instructor. Before your dive, enjoy access to the PADI eLearning platform to study the skills you'll need during your dive. Then, set out to spot Maui's tropical fish, turtles, and colorful reefs on a dive with your instructor. When you book your Discovery Dive, you'll be assigned an eLearning login that gives you access to reading and video materials that need to be completed before you arrive at the dive shop. On the day of your dive, your instructor will go over the eLearning materials and brief you about the basic skills you will need in the water. Then, head to the dive site and practice skills with your instructor. Once you feel confident, enjoy a dive with your instructor and have fun exploring Maui’s pristine coral reefs.

Discover why Maui is the place to spot humpback whales during an exciting ocean adventure in peak migration season. Board a comfortable catamaran at either Māʻalaea or Lahaina Harbor and escape into the ‘Au ‘au channel which boasts the greatest number of whales near Maui. Venture out into the warm and protected ocean waters which make an ideal location for the humpbacks to mate and give birth to their calves. Known for their acrobatics, the whales are often seen fully breaching out of the ocean. This family-friendly kayaking tour is great for children 5 years old and up. On this group kayaking tour, you will kayak roughly 2.5 miles (4km) through the Ukumehame Coastline. Along the way, you will have opportunities to stop and snorkel with Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle and tropical fish. It is also very common to see manta rays and dolphins, as well as the Hawaiian monk seal. During whale season (October through April) you will have the opportunity to see Humpback whales during their annual migration to the Islands to mate and give birth. This tour sets out twice a day, once at 7:15am and again at 10:30am. The early morning tour offers calmer waters and are perfect for beginner kayakers. All kayaking and snorkel gear are provided on this tour, along with light snacks and beverages. All you need to bring is your swimsuit, a towel, and sunscreen.

So much fun! We didn’t see any dolphins, so they have us a rain check for another excursion that’s good for a full year. The crew was friendly and shared interesting island history with us. We had a great time sailing!
