  • Doc Martin Tour

    1. Doc Martin Tour

If you’re a fan of the TV show Doc Martin, this fully guided walking tour will take you around the fictional Cornish seaside village of Portwenn. In reality, it is filmed on location in Port Isaac, a small and picturesque fishing village on the Atlantic coast of north Cornwall. Now in its seventh series and popular with fans around the world, this Doc Martin tour is the best way to see the main locations from the show which first aired in 2004. The walking tour is led by a local who has been involved in the filming of Doc Martin itself as an extra and shares many anecdotes about the filming of this show.  Locations from the show that you will see include the Doc’s house and surgery, Louisa’s school, Mrs Tishell’s pharmacy and much more. However, the village itself has a long and fascinating history dating back to King Henry VIII and your guide will show you hidden village paths, histor...

This was an excellent mix of Doc Martin stories and local history. Our guide is part of the “extras” cast on the show so we got super insider information! It lasts an hour and a half, has some steep steps but the pace was slow so even a 85 year old man on our tour managed ok.

  • From Cornwall: Private Poldark Tour with Pickup

    2. From Cornwall: Private Poldark Tour with Pickup

The 2015 BBC drama Poldark, adapted from the Winston Graham series, shows off the dramatic beauty of the Cornish landscape and coastline. Now you can step into the world of Ross Poldark and visit some of the breath-taking locations featured on the show in this Poldark tour of Cornwall. Your first stop will be a beautiful unspoilt Georgian working port that was used as the location for Truro Harbour in the new BBC series of Poldark. From here you'll wind your way down past the real Truro and Falmouth and on to the far West stopping firstly at a picturesque fishing cove used in the second series of Poldark. You'll then travel a couple of miles on to The Minack Theatre from where you can see over to the beach used in series one and down to Porthcurno beach used in series two. The views from here are unrivalled and it is one of the most iconic photo locations in Cornwall. You then ...

Sarah, our guide, picked up the three of us from our hotel as arranged. What a delightful young woman. She was full of interesting information and took us on a brilliant tour, not only showing us all the major filming locations we would never have found ourselves, but lots of other relevant sights as well. The tour was expensive, but we felt it was very well worth it; a really wonderful and jam-packed day. I thoroughly recommend this tour, but most especially Sarah, our guide.

Well worth the time, effort and money, a must

Port Isaac is stunning and yes you can experience the Village by yourself but this tour offers so much more, we were taken around by someone who’s not only a local but an actor who’s been in Doc Martin, his knowledge is excellent, and explains not only the locations used, which characters lived or work where but also the history of the village through the ages, there are so many extra hidden secrets that on your own you would definitely miss. Thanks so much was excellent

A very enjoyable and knowledgeable tour given by Mike! Thanks

The guided tour was very interesting and covered not only facts about the making of Doc Martin and the places used in filming, but also historical facts about Port Isaac. Well worth the ticket price.

Really enjoyed the tour...not only the Doc Martin elements but the local history as well.
