Full description

Embark on a magical mystery tour and see how four young lads from Liverpool were propelled to dizzying heights of fame and fortune from humble childhood beginnings. Replicas of Mathew Street and The Cavern authentically capture the early 60s, allowing you to experience firsthand the very places that helped make The Beatles the biggest band in the world. Hear the story unfold through our ‘Living History’ audio guides available in 11 different languages (English, Brazilian-Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin, Korean, Polish, Russian and Spanish). Let all this take you down to the Beatles Story.  In 2018, The Beatles Story celebrates 50 years since The Beatles travelled to India with the launch of a special exhibition. Beatles In India looks at this key period in time with new memorabilia, imagery and personal accounts from people who were there with them.

A really well organised and informative exhibition . The audio commentary was free and added to the experience, thought at times I needed to turn off the commentary in order to concentrate on the information around me . I particularly enjoyed the replica Cavern and the audio interviews of fans who had seen the Beatles play there. Our visit lasted around 90 minuets though we could stayed longer if we wished . It’s a shame you can only use the cafe at the end as we got there slightly early and would have liked to use it before. All in all well worth the money, would recommend a visit .

Going through the various room and street set ups really helped give a feel and experience of the story. There was a real sense of excitement as they started to make it big time! Also some things I hadn’t known. The audio guide that everyone had was very good but might have had more music. Some of the entries on the audio guide were out of order with the exhibits but we were told there are plans to review this in the next few months.

Tracing the history of the Beatles from early adolescence through to present day. Great inclusion of the solo year's and sadly the deaths of George and John. Truly moving tributes paid to their contribution to rock and popular music. Being guided through the exhibition with a personal soundtrack made it come to life.
