Full description

Meet your local guide at a location near Buckingham Palace and head out on a guided walking tour of this most royal part of London. The guide will provide fascinating background information about the Palace and the royal family, as well as the magnificent St. James's Palace, which was built by Henry VIII. On this tour, you'll also visit the beautiful St. James's Park, The Mall, built to resemble a giant red carpet leading up to the Palace, and pass by Clarence House, also a royal palace and home to Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall. After a relaxing walking tour you’ll have the unique opportunity of visiting the interior of Buckingham Palace. The royal residence is open to visitors for a limited time each year and it seems that just about everyone would like to get inside! The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh open the doors of Buckingham Palace to visitors for just a 2-month period each year. Tickets give you guaranteed access and there will be no waiting in line. Marvel at the lavish apartments, sparkling chandeliers and sumptuous furnishings. The rooms you’ll visit house some of the greatest treasures of the Royal Collection, such as exquisite pieces of Sèvres porcelain and some of the finest English and French furniture in the world. With the official Palace audio guide you’ll learn all about palace residents, history, and traditions as well as stories about the furnishings and ornaments. Many of these items were gifts over the centuries from heads of state from around the globe.

The buckingham palace tour exceeded our expectations. I was in a scooter and was treated like royalty! I was ushered in the place through the Queens entrance and so wonderfully taken care of every two of the way. We were so impressed by our treatment for people with disabilities. I would 100% go back to London for this reason!

Absolutely recommendable

We had a friendly guide (Robert) who told us some nice Storys about the area of Buckingham Palace and the royal family. We enjoyed the short walk from the meeting point to Buckingham Palace! Buckingham Palace itself was absolutely worth seeing it, due to the tour we had to wait just a few minutes to get into the palace. Procedure within Buckingham Palace was well organized, even though they had to deal a lot of visitors. Members were kind and helpful. We loved to have the opportunity to see Buckingham Palace insight!
