Full description

Explore one of the most famous prehistoric monuments in the world on a half-day tour to Stonehenge. Travel to the site from London by air-conditioned vehicle and enjoy views of the English landscape en route. The tour is unescorted, but visitors can download an audio guide on their smartphones. Situated on Salisbury Plain in the Wiltshire countryside, the cluster of 40-ton rocks was constructed more than 5,000 years ago.

Although the function of Stonehenge is still a matter of fierce debate, what is known about the UNESCO World Heritage Site is that it has been a site of pagan worship for centuries. Make up your own mind as you uncover the history behind the extraordinary monument. A new world-class visitor center is now a short shuttle bus ride away from the stone circle site and combines cutting-edge audiovisuals with exhibitions of ancient objects.

Very good coordination of the tour, it was just a bit difficult to identify the bus, definitely two hours in Stonehenge are not enough to admire the place, if you have time and want the adventure, I recommend that you just buy your entrance tickets and arrive on your own.

The place is very nice, but you have little time to see everything by listening to the audio guide .. In addition to the small museum and the prehistoric village, we had to eat quickly on our way to the parking lot .. It would have taken an extra half hour .. The very kind driver, he left you in the most convenient spot for you.

I loved this experience. The bus ride was better than I thought it would be. I was picturing a small shuttle bus, but it was essentially a charter bus. Once you get there, the shuttles to the stones were quick and easy. The audio guide was nice and informative and I liked that you could choose the section you wanted to listen to, based on where you were. Stonehenge itself was amazing, of course. The only thing is that we hit traffic on the way back (not the tour’s or driver’s fault) so make sure to leave plenty of time before your next activity, just in case.
