Full description
Explore Britain's remarkable history on this Christmas Day tour to Royal Windsor, Stonehenge and the Roman city of Bath. After the morning pick-up we will head off to Royal Windsor for a guided walking tour of the old market town, taking in the charming cobbled streets and medieval buildings, including the house William Shakespeare lived in when he wrote the Merry Wives of Windsor. You will also see the warrant for the execution of Charles I signed by Oliver Cromwell, and Sir Christopher Wren's intriguing Guildhall before heading to the long walk that boasts the most impressive views of Windsor Castle. Your professional guide will pause here explaining to you the dramatic history of the oldest working Castle in the world. The walk will continue around the perimeter of the Castle before heading down across Windsor Bridge into Eton where we can see the college that Princes William and Harry attended. Journeying south-west we pass through Runnymede where King John signed the Magna Carta in 1215 before heading to the picturesque Salisbury plains. There will be plenty of time for a photo stop at Stonehenge, the most famous prehistoric monument in the world. Step 5,000 years back in time while your guide explains the remarkable history of these huge 40 tonne stones. Who carved and carried these ancient rocks? What was the purpose of the site? Why are there so many people buired in earth barrows close to the stones? Our guide will help you unlock some secrets and answer your questions. Then, enjoy a Christmas lunch that will be an absolute treat. Step into a charming pub to enjoy roasted turkey with all the trimmings followed by delicious Christmas pudding in front of the roaring log fire! The pub is famous for its classic country pub food and fine ales. Relax and get into the Christmas spirit and soak up the atmosphere of this charming village tavern. Finally, we will head to the spa town of Bath for a walking and panoramic driving tour of the old Roman and Georgian town, visiting the Royal Crescent, the Circus and Pulteney Bridge, which boasts magnificent views of the River Avon cascading down over the weir. Please note that while most attractions are closed on Christmas day, the tour still takes time to explore and bring this beautiful part of England to life, combining driving and walking tours, photo stops and a fabulous Christmas lunch in a classic British pub.

    Maravilloso recorrido

Most of the time on Christmas Day is spent on the bus.

The best thing was the guide, who although the visit was in English, had a very good knowledge of everything we were seeing and was understood very well. He was very aware of all of us. But if on December 25 they advise you to take an excursion outside of London because public transport in the capital is closed, since unless the entrances to Windsor Castle, Stonehenge and Bath are open ... I stay in London. The Christmas meal was nothing special ... And much of the time we spent on the bus ... That is why I do not recommend it, at least on this Christmas day

    A disappointment

Stonehenge was a dream, it was seen in the distance from the coach, which did not stop, the passengers sitting on the right side of the coach could see something. Those on the left we saw it on a postcard that the guide showed us. We chose this excursion especially to be able to see this monument, a great disappointment. The Christmas food, a scam, tight, food in less than an hour, with a queue to pick up the food, self-service type, small quantity and cold, we had to pay even the water, we are still waiting for the famous "Turkey" The guide very correct
