Fun to do the different routes and see more of the city than you would walking. The buses were pretty infrequent and often stopped on the other side of the street. Audio didn't work in some seats especially if you were listening to different languages from the same terminal. Overall did what it was supposed to do, but I've been on better City bus tours.

The Hop on hop off bus was great for seeing as much of Milan as possible in a day, I’d recommend it with the caveat that some of the lines take a long time between buses and they do stop early (6pm) so make sure if you’re going to be able to catch the last bus if you’re a long way from your hotel/apartment. Also note Leonardo’s Horse statue is currently closed, autumn 22, so unless you’re a super, AC or Inter Milan fan there’s not a lot to see at the far end of the yellow line, and an hour wait for the next bus!

The starting point for finding out what is worth seeing in Milan and at what distances it is distant from each other. Such a trip is something like a bird's eye view. Such most important places. Then you can explore the city on foot, taking breaks for coffee or food in charming cafes.
