We'd heard that this cruise was novel, fun, and the best way to see the sounds - and it was all of that. The boat was spacious, and no chance of getting sea sick because the water is calm and the boat is very stable. The route changes daily and you get an up close view of the lovely coves and bays where some lucky people have made their home or holiday batch.
The mail boat was comfortable, the commentary was engaging, visiting some of the jetties and watching the mail bags being exchanged was fun, but the absolute highlight was the visit to Meretoto Ship Cove. Captain Cook and his team were brave men!
Ryan was very informative friendly and had a great sense of humor the weather was really nice and we liked furneaux lodge and the other bays as well highly recommend the boat trip as did our friends who had already been on it thank you
We went on the day the ferries couldn’t berth at Picton. It was very rough exhilarating to say the least but we felt very safe at all times, the captain had control throughout our trip. I would recommend this cruise to everyone.
A wonderful afternoon in the sounds on the mail run enhanced by our skipper and historian Ryan so much more than we expected. There were 4 of us and we all had the same experience, amazing.
