Full description
Discover the Central Otago wine region on a small group half-day tour from Queenstown. Enjoy a personalized wine tasting itinerary based on your booking selections to suit your likings and budget.  After a complimentary hotel pick-up, set off for the heart of Gibbston. Journey into the ‘valley of the vines’ to discover these vineyards nestled amongst the spectacular mountain ranges and dramatic river gorges. Sample Pinot Noirs, aromatics and everything in between. Your day includes visits to four of the best cellar doors and a tour of New Zealand's largest Underground Wine Cave. Sample three varietals in the cave and a visit to the Home Block Vineyard, originally planted by the founder and wine pioneer Alan Brady in 1983. Benefit from an intimate small group experience that permits time to explore all that the Central Otago wine district has to offer. There is no set routine, so every day is an adventure. Simply Awesome!!!

The tour started with brief detailing about the wine regions of New Zealand followed by the aroma kit to make us understand the different types of aromas found in wines. Next, we started visiting the four wineries one by one and tasted nearly thirty wines in a day. The highlight of the tour was the wine cave where wines are kept in oak barrels to mature and develop more aromas.

      Wonderful fun day and educational

Great wineries. Susana was very knowledgeable of the wineries and the region. She made it fun and taught us quite a bit about wine. Would do it again.
