Full description

Experience the raw natural beauty of Iceland's Golden circle with this day tour from Reykjavik. Feel the rush of watching the Strokkur geyser erupt. Take a swim in the warm relaxing waters of the Sky Lagoon geothermal spa.

Be picked up in Reykjavik and take in the country landscapes as you are transported to Thingvellir National Park. Walk between two continents at the location where the Eurasian and American tectonic plates meet. Hear stories about Viking history at the site of the first Viking parliament.

Next, head to the geyser geothermal area where you can see the geyser Strokkur erupt every few minutes.

Marvel at Strokkur as the geyser sends boiling hot water up into the sky. Continue to the Gullfoss waterfall to watch as millions of gallons of ice-cold, glacier-fed water plunges 30 meters into a canyon.

Finish your day with a trip to the Sky Lagoon geothermal spa. Experience Icelandic bathing culture first-hand with a relaxing swim in a 250-foot infinity pool. Admire views of the dramatic coast as you lie back in the warm soothing waters.

Have the freedom to swim up to the cave bar for a refreshing cocktail. Try the revitalizing Icelandic 7-step ritual that includes a fog misting, an indulgent body scrub, and a trip to the steam room.

The sights are well worth visiting, but we only got 40 minutes in Pingvellir National Park. Not only was this insufficient time, but it wasn’t even properly light when we arrived. If we’d had a coffee instead of going for a walk, we wouldn’t have seen anything at all! However, the tour guide was good - full of information not only on the sights we visited, but also on Icelandic history, culture & folklore. The Sky Lagoon with the 7-step ritual was a truly magical experience which I would highly recommend.

After being picked up from the hotel you are dropped off to the bus terminal to get onto a coach. This was very well organised with people waiting to tell you which coach to get on. Our guide and driver (Randy and Isaac) were brilliant. They have lots of knowledge and share it with you as you're driving to the different locations included in the golden circle. Seeing Thingvellir National Park was outstanding! So much beautiful scenery everywhere! The geysir area is wonderful! And Gulfoss waterfall is unlike anything else, absolutely magical! You are dropped off at the Sky Lagoon which is amazing! The 7 step ritual is a real treat and then relaxing in the warm water of the Lagoon is lovely! Would absolutely recommend doing this tour!

The perfect day! We got to see the sunrise in The National Park, Geysir, Impressive waterfalls, a quick stop to pet the Icelandic horses and finishing with a beautiful sunset in the Sky Lagoon with the 7step ritual. Absolutely amazing! Rad was our guide, super fun and informative, we can see he loves what he does. We had enough time in each stop and time for food and toilets were provided too. The only down from the trip itself was the fact then when returning to Reykjavik after the golden circle, they dropped the people at their hotels, spending around 45min in town and then dropping us at the terminal to then wait for a bus to take us to the sky lagoon. The transfer itself and information was not very smooth then. We would appreciate to be either dropped off in the lagoon once more than half of the bus were with people for the sky lagoon, and only few people to be dropped off at their hotels. It was unnecessary time spent during our full day trip. It could be better organized.
