Full description

Follow the south coast of Iceland to the glacial lagoon, Jökulsárlón, on a full-day tour from Reykjavik. Visit the Seljalandsfoss waterfall and learn about the incredible landscapes from your guide. Stay connected with free WIFI aboard the climate-controlled bus. Depart from Reykjavik in an air-conditioned bus and pass charming villages as well as Skaftafell National Park on your way to the Seljalandsfoss and Skógarfoss waterfalls. Look out for Iceland’s biggest volcano, Öræfajökull glacier. After arriving at the lagoon, enjoy some time to view this stunning area. Take a walk along the shore and admire the icebergs. During the summer season, amphibian boat tours on the lagoon are available at an extra cost (payable onsite). Jökulsárlón started to form in the early nineteen twenties and is getting bigger every year. See blocks of ice that have broken off Europe’s biggest glacier, Vatnajökull, as they sail slowly towards the ocean. The tour returns to Reykjavik in the evening.

Overall excellent trip with sun coming out exactly when we were at Jokulsarlon. Our guide Esther was a great coach. She gave a ton of information with stories, tidbits and kept time really well. Highly encourage anyone to take this trip. Would love additional 15 mins at Diamond beach but already trip is 14 hours and so understand time constraints.

It was a great trip. The glacier lagoon is out of this world! The boat trip on the lagoon was great too! Overall, the trip was well organized. One thing needs to be mentioned: the tour is in English only. The description states that it will also be offered in other languages in parallel on different days. That's not the case, but that's just by the way... Conclusion: Highly recommended all round!

Our excursion was brought forward to Thursday 28/10 due to lack of people for the following Saturday. Our bus was half full on that day. A lot of road (almost 900km) over the 2 p.m. day but magnificent landscapes. We stopped, on the way, at a huge waterfall, then at Vik before arriving at the glacier lagoon. For lack of luck, a lot of rain and wind prevented us from fully enjoying the place, which was magnificent despite everything. On the way back, we stopped at another waterfall, at night, which was purely magnificent! Our guide Ali spoke slowly which made it easy to understand despite his accent.
