2. Granada: Cathedral and/or Royal Chapel Tour

If the Alhambra is the highlight of the Muslim side of Granada, the Cathedral is the heart of the Christian city. On this 90-minute walking tour with a Spanish-speaking guide you’ll begin with a visit to the Cathedral, built on the site of a mosque by Queen Isabella after the conquest of Granada. Admire this masterpiece of Spanish Renaissance style, with its impressive façades and stunning interior that includes a grand altar and several chapels. Carlos V, always respectful of the memory of his ancestors, ensured that the Cathedral was built in accordance with the desires of the Catholic kings. Continue on to the Royal Chapel, which is surrounded by the Granada Cathedral, the Church of Sagrario and the Madraza Palace. Built between 1505 and 1517 in the Isabelline Gothic style, the Chapel was dedicated to St. John the Baptist and St. John the Evangelist. You can pay your respects to those buried here, including Catholic monarchs, Joanna of Castile and her husband, Philip I of Castile.

I really enjoyed the tour as a whole since he was so informative and was able to answer all of our questions. He did walk a bit fast which I enjoyed, but my parents didn’t love that. I would have liked for him to point out good spots to take pictures since he would move quickly. The downside was the tour was in Spanish and English, so part of the time we were bored as well as the others while we listened. Overall, it was a great tour, and the tapas place was delicious!!!!

Very nice and interesting tour. Thanks to Alfredo, our guide, who has passionate us with an engaging and clear exposure; very prepared he was able to give us both an artistic and historical vision of one of the most beautiful sites in Spain. However, being the 31st of December and having been late on the tour, due to the high number of visitors, it was not possible stop for an aperitif with tapas.

Borja was super interactive and very knowledgeable about the Al Hambra and about everything having to do with Spain/Granada. He was super cool and fun and we had a ton of fun with him. I would take the tour again literally any day and it has been the highlight of our trip to Spain.

Gosia was a delightful and friendly guide, very well informed and open to all questions pertaining to the tour. It's amazing to see some of the preserved relics in the locations and hear about them.

A very knowledgeable and friendly guy, made a 4 hours experience extremely exciting. Keep up the good work and we wish you all the best of future life. Thanks
