  • From Reykjavik: Golden Circle and Glacier Snowmobiling

    1. From Reykjavik: Golden Circle and Glacier Snowmobiling

Board the bus at the BSI Bus Terminal and drive off to experience the different geothermal landscapes of Iceland's legendary Golden Circle. Stop at Þingvellir National Park, known for its exceptional beauty and historical importance as the site of the world's first parliaments. Continue into the hot springs area of Geysir, before driving to Langjökull to take part in a once-in-a-lifetime adventure activity! Take control of a snowmobile – or travel as a passenger – to explore the vast white ice cap of Langjökull for an hour. Make your way back to Reykjavík via the spectacular Gullfoss Waterfall and gaze in wonder as the Hvítá River thunders into a 32-meter deep canyon.

It was a great trip but I think the time traveling should be explained in the brief as this is quite a lot of the time out....also the actual time you get on the snowmobile was very misleading. We had half that time and the experience was very disappointing. It should explain that you literally go up and around in a circle following everyone which was very un impressive and not worthy at all of the cost of this. Next time I would probably not bother doing the snow mobiling as I felt it wasn’t a true experience of what it was Described as.

Head to the famous Golden Circle from Reykjavík on this 10-hour small-group tour. Take in some of Iceland's most famous sights, stopping first at historic Thingvellir National Park. The snowmobiling was cancelled because of bad weather, we were contacted the day before by customer services who were so helpful and lovely, and were given the choice to do buggying instead, which we agreed to. Haffy the golden circle tour guide was amazing, he still took us out even though it was just me and my partner on the tour, it was literally a private tour, such a wonderful day and then the buggying at the end was amazing. Honestly would recommend, you won't be disapointed at all!

First I want to say, when booking on this website, be sure to notice that you can change the currency rate on a tab in the upper corner, I did not see this and was charged more than expected. Luckily, I was able to speak with the customer service team and they refunded me based on my currency that I had thought I was paying, which was very good of them and much appreciated. The experience was amazing! We went in December and had a great weather day, although windy and chilly but great day for a ride. You are given zip up suits, gloves and a helmet. The cons: The staff wasn’t the friendliest and wish we could have snowmobiled a little more off course, but I understand the safety of it. The ice cave was cool but small so you don’t spend much time in there. Overall, it was a lot of fun and an amazing experience, how many people can say They snowmobiled on a glacier?!!

Absolutely outstanding throughout! We had a fantastic day out in the “superjeep” the journey alone in this monster was an adventure in itself and blew our minds with its abilities, with big thanks to the “viking” driver Einar, he was not only a highly experienced driver but constantly fed us useful information, facts and tales about iceland. The entire trip was brill start to finish and dont want to ruin the surprises to the trip but i would happily of paid to do this experience again and in my opinion was far too cheap fir the service provided, the finale being the snowmobiling at the end on the glaciers, omg wow! photos that will last a lifetime In my memories and will be printing them for a canvas photograph in my home.a fantastic guide called ollie who was a great laugh and kept everyone happy. I sincerely thank the whole team for this experience, you made our holiday, and lifetime memories, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! you will not be disappointed thank you so much, pete and Christianne

We were so lucky to be the only ones on the tour that day plus were blessed with perfect weather up in the glacier. Our guide Oskar was clearly passionate about his job and nature and shared so much valuable knowledge about the glaciers with us. He was so friendly and helpful and respectful it felt like going on a trip with an old friend. The winter and riding gear provided was tip top, we really didn’t need anything of our own. We had a great time on the snowmobile, covered a lot of grounds and the landscape was breathtaking. Oskar offered to and took great vids and pics of us for us , it really couldn’t have been any better! Thank you so much, Oskar for such a wonderful experience and memory!

Compliments to Oscar! Today we did the snowmobile trip on the glacier. We had a private tour with guide Oscar. Not booked, but received due to few registrations. We had a great day! Driven on both ice and snow, full throttle and walking pace to enjoy the view. Oscar took his time and was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We also appreciated his explanation about the glacier and Iceland. We would go again! Thank you Oscar!

The actual snowmobile activity was a great adventure with an added bonus of seeing a glimpse of the glacier through a shallow ice cave. Kids loved riding on the back and we adults liked the thrill! The organisers were accommodating and well trained for a big group!

Tour was great! They provided everything we needed to stay warm and safe. Took us all over the glacier and even helped a friend with an issue when he had forgotten something. Would recommend.

We had a great time. We did the activity with our 2 kids (13 &16) and they had a blast. The scenery is beautiful and the guides (Oscar and Sven) were very friendly and knowledgeable.
