The Zurich card is a fantastic option for traveling within Zurich. We ended up using the train, tram, bus and boat. A point of attention is that you quickly enter the gray zones where you should pay. We only found out on the last day, but were never checked. You activate the card by stamping it in the blue (near the tram) or orange (train) poles / machines. Insert the card and it gets a day stamp, after which it is valid for 24 or 72 hours.

I debated buying this card and I am so glad that I did. I picked up my Zurich card at the airport office (which was easy to find) and used it for transportation into Zurich. We walk a lot so we didn’t use the trams much but we still got value through the entry fees that were waived by the card. The Beyer watch museum alone was asking others to pay 20 CHF for this small (yet interesting) museum. Glad we bought this card.

If you are in Zurich for a whole day (or more) this pass is totally worth it. You can use to on all modes of transport and also from/to the airport. It includes discounts at a number of museums, restaurants and attractions.

One of the best public transport systems in the world. Safe and extremely convenient.

Great value for money! Definitely worth purchasing!
