Full description
Escape the hustle and bustle of Sydney and discover the NSW South Coast, where pristine white sand beaches meet the gumtrees. Over 5 days, explore native forests and exciting coastline, with diverse geology, world-class beaches, swimming opportunities, and abundant wildlife like kangaroos, cockatoos, kookaburras, and dolphins. This tour is vehicle supported, so you can hike with just a day pack and spend more energy soaking up the beauty of the coastline. You will hike the exquisite Murramarang National Park for 3 of the 5 days, with optional side hikes, yummy lunches, and luxury, waterfront accommodation. Enjoy plenty of time in the afternoons for relaxing, swimming, great dinners, and even better conversation. Day 1 The adventure begins with hotel pick up from the Sydney CBD at 10:00 AM. Travel in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle taking a few stops to check out the local sites and grab lunch. Upon arrival to Batemans Bay, the driver will assist with check-in and advise of the best waterfront restaurants for your first night's meal. Overnight in Batemans Bay. Day 2 Meet the guides and load the cabin baggage into the van. Enjoy a scenic transfer into the southern end of the Murramarang National Park, where your walk commences. With just a day pack, hike along forested trails and incredible cliff tops, spotting wildlife along the way. Have lunch at a picturesque beach and take a quick swim. Enjoy some complimentary bubbly upon arrival to the second night's accommodation and admire the sunset while eating dinner at the onsite restaurant. Day 3 Walk white sand beaches or explore this stretch of coastline by sea kayak (weather permitting). If you're lucky, you'll encounter pods of dolphins or whales (between June and November) before arriving at stunning Depot Beach in time for a leisurely lunch. Spot curious kangaroos and birdlife. Check in to your luxury accommodation and enjoy an afternoon exploring the area. Request a snorkel session (weather permitting), a relaxing deep stretch or Yoga session, or a complimentary massage. Day 4 Trade sandy beaches for the native rainforest of Durras Mountain. Rock platforms offer some of the best ocean vistas where you will stop to reflect on the coastline you have covered. The hike ends at the perfectly named Pretty Beach. Swim and relax before meeting the driver for the transfer to the Depot Beach accommodation. Day 5 Say farewell to the coast and return to Sydney, with a huge sense of achievement and new memories made. Drop-off is provided at your hotel, the airport, or alternative locations in Sydney CBD.
