Full description

Departing from Venice, travel across the lagoon to visit the three islands of the Venetian Lagoon: Murano, Burano and Torcello. The excursion will start in St. Mark's Square area where you will board a panoramic boat and leave towards the northern part of the lagoon. Some explanations will be provided in English, Spanish, French, German and Italian during the boat trips. The first stop will be Murano Island, famous for its glass production and picturesque views. Here, have the chance to visit a glass factory and observe a local artist giving shape to a glass piece of art. Let yourself be amazed by Murano Island, but also remember to get back in time to the boat to leave for the next highlight. The next stop is Burano Island, famous for its colorful houses. Apart from being a paradise for photography lovers, it is home to a long tradition of lace production. Enough free time will be left to stroll around the island and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere that can still be found here. If you have chosen the option for the Three Islands, the next stop is Torcello, known as the Mother of Venice. You have the chance to visit the Basilica, which is one of the oldest in the Lagoon and holds some beautiful mosaics, or maybe visit the museum. If not you can just spend your time walking around this enchanting and very historical island.  With eyes full of beauty and camera cards full of memories to cherish, you will then catch your motorboat ride back to Venice.

Good value trip! Was very very packed tho and unfortunately felt herded on mass… some of the other participants were so intent on securing good seats on the boat at the start and after every stop that you were crushed or trampled in the mad rush! Also the commentary was hard to hear! However the islands are stunning and glad we saw them and nicer than using public transport and added bonus of the glass demo.

I recommend this experience to everyone. The guide Francesca very good. As for me, I would have removed the visit to the island of Torcello to dedicate more time to Murano, there time flew by, the very beautiful glass demonstration of the master Marco continued in his shop for the sale of his productions that I I bought but there was little time to visit the island. Burano, on the other hand, having more time available, can be enjoyed more by stopping to admire all the houses and colorful alleys and also to eat something. In any case, it is money well spent. A tip for those who go upstairs from Venice to the boat: you will enjoy the view but then it is the people downstairs who will do the first demonstration of the glass and then you will have to wait 10 minutes so lost ..

Very pleasant experience! Morning trip to Murano and Burano departure 9.30am and return around 1.30pm! During the crossing on the boat, the guide explained the areas of the lagoon that we crossed. In Murano, visit of a furnace with demonstration by a master glassmaker and beautiful Burano with its colorful houses!
