1. London: Stonehenge, Windsor Castle, Bath and Lacock Day Tour

Depart London for a full-day tour to some of the most historic attractions in the West of England, stopping at Windsor Castle, home to the English royals for more than 900 years. Perched high above the River Thames, the castle reveals royal stories from the days of William the Conqueror to the current Queen, making it the largest continuously occupied castle in the world. You will be among the first to marvel at the splendor of St. Georges Chapel, as well as the sumptuous State Apartments. Continue to Stonehenge on Salisbury Plain and learn the mysteries of the most famous prehistoric monument in the world. Its origins date back nearly 5,000 years, but it still confounds historians and archaeologists to this day. Try to unlock some of its secrets for yourself at the new state-of-the-art Visitor Centre. Next, stop for a traditional pub lunch in the picturesque National Trust village of Lacock. Walk down cobbled streets lined with ancient cottages to see why it is often chosen for film shoots, including “Harry Potter.” Your lunch will be served in a 14th-century pub at the end of a short walking tour. The final stop of the day is the historic city of Bath, full of Georgian architecture in delightful crescents and terraces. Take a panoramic city tour, with free time to visit Bath Abbey and the romantic Pulteney Bridge over the River Avon, and to enjoy afternoon tea in the historic Pump Rooms, while being serenaded by a string quartet.

What people are saying about Windsor

The trip we originally booked was cancelled but we have been very happy with the alternative which was offered to us. The organization was perfect and our guide and the bus driver both were competent and nice. We went to see Windsor, Stonehenge and Bath and found all the tree places ( for different reasons) very worth to have been seeing them. So, thx a lot once again to Bruce and the golden tour team and All the best Iris

I absolutely love Get Your Guide. They do a good job finding experienced guides and providers. I was so impressed with the knowledge and professionalism of the guide and driver. The tour started at the bus station and we traveled on a very comfortable coach. The guide constantly provided commentary and she made the locations come alive and added a lot of interesting stories and facts about the countryside.

Wonderful trip, Carol our guide gave just the right amount of information-we really enjoyed it! If I did it again, I would have eliminated the Lacock village portion. The Pub lunch was fun, but we didn’t really have time to see much of the little town. I would therefore preferred more time in Bath, it was magical and so beautiful all decorated for Christmas.

Frank has a very nice voice his retelling of history is lovely to listen to. Our driver, Jim is very skilled and made for a pleasant ride.

Great tour and day. Frank / Andre were great. A long day but worth it to see as such as you do. Highly recommend.
