Visit one of the largest sanctuaries in Canada and hear about the mission of this wolfdog rescue organization. Learn about wolfdogs during a 30-minute presentation and go inside one of the wolfdog enclosures behind a short barrier. An experienced staff member will safely lead you through the enclosure during the tour. Enjoy a self-guided sanctuary walk either before or after your tour.  Take photographs of one of the packs of wolfdogs from inside their enclosure and ask the wolfdog experts any questions you may have. Please note that there is no interaction with the wolfdogs on this tour.

Experience a day full of Western Canadian culture and landscapes and see how the locals work and live on this fun and educational Cowboy Country Tour. Departing from Banff or Calgary and traveling along the Trans-Canada highway, the first stop of your tour will be at the Chiniki Stoney Gallery, an interpretive gallery with a history of First Nations' relationship with the land. A short drive further, stop at the Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary, where dogs are rescued and cared for. After an interpretive tour of the sanctuary, the tour continues east along the Bow River and through the Wildcat Hills to the town of Cochrane, where the Cowboy Trail intersects the urban world. Enjoy a cowboy lunch and a visit to the historic downtown will be enjoyed along with some classic boutique stores. After lunch, head to the Stockmen Cowboy Museum for a build-your-own brand experience. Put your name or family logo on an iron, heat it over an open fire, and brand a piece of reclaimed barn board to take home.
