Zalipie

Visit two of Poland's top tourist attractions on a guided tour from Krakow to the small ancient village of Zalipie and Niepołomice, a picturesque place with a great past. Get maximum convenience out of your trip with pickup and drop-off from Krakow. After pickup at your hotel in Krakow, make your way to Zalipie in southeastern Poland with your driver who is also your tour leader. Once there, take a guided tour to find out more about the history and tradition of the village.  Explore the colorful village renowned for the decoration of its houses, featuring cheerful paintings on the walls and stoves, crepe-paper flowers, and paper-cut designs. Visit the Homestead of Felicja Curylowa Museum (outside only), the former home of the most famous practitioner of the folk art the village is known for. Then, discover a small shop with unique handmade souvenirs. Next, visit Niepołomice. Walk along the Royal Road, visit the royal castle (courtyard and interiors), the main square, and the Grunwald Mound. Afterward, get driven back to Krakow for drop-off at your hotel.

After transferring from Krakow to Bochnia, you will experience the oldest salt mine in Poland. Complete with a beautiful underground chapel, you will explore the mine with your friendly English-speaking tour guid. The mine features 300 kilometers of galleries which are filled with works of art and statues sculpted into salt. The mine itself was added to the UNESCO Heritage List back in 2013. Later, you will transfer to Tarnow, a charming little city with an originally preserved Old Town which dates back to the 18th century. The final stop on your tour will be to Zalipie, a true pearl of rural Poland. Here you will discover picturesque little houses painted in flowery patterns, and visiting this small village will truly make you feel as if you have traveled through time. At the conclusion of your tour, you will transfer back to Krakow.
